As a result, NGOs have had to cut back on their operations or shut down entirely due to insufficient funds. Another cause is donor fatigue. Donor fatigue refers to a situation where donors become tired or disillusioned with giving due to repeated requests for donations or ineffective use of funds by some NGOs. This phenomenon affects both individual and institutional donors who may choose not to donate or reduce their contributions over time. Moreover, competition for limited resources is another cause of inadequate funding in NGOs.
